James A. Wheat & Sons Named NCI Contractor of the Year

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — James A. Wheat & Sons, one of the leading HVAC contractors in Maryland, was named Contractor of the Year by the National Comfort Institute (NCI) at its 2012 Annual Conference. The Contractor of the Year award recognizes home services companies for exceptional achievement in performance-based contracting, quality workmanship, and dedication to customer service.

Family owned and operated, James A. Wheat & Sons has been providing HVAC service in Maryland and Washington, D.C., for two generations. The company said it strives to ensure its plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services exceed customer expectations.

“We are tremendously honored to receive this award,” said Michael Wheat, company president. “We take great pride in our commitment to our staff, and that’s reflected in our customer service. Being a family owned and operated company, it feels great to have our hard work recognized in such a prestigious way.”

The company noted that the key to its success is its commitment to providing employees with opportunities for continuing education on the latest home and building comfort and safety practices from organizations like NCI.
