|National Comfort Institute (NCI) CEO Dominick Guarino explains the new MyNCI membership structure to attendees at NCI’s ninth annual summit.|
PALM HARBOR, Fla. — The National Comfort Institute (NCI) honored several HVAC industry leaders and introduced its MyNCI membership structure during its ninth annual summit, Feb. 5-10.
Campbell Comfort Systems, West Deptford, N.J., received the Contractor of the Year — small business category — award. James A. Wheat, Gaithersburg, Md., received the honor in the medium business category, and Link Mechanical Services, New Britain, Conn., accepted the award in the large business category.
Bobbie Bevil of Davis Services, Spartanburg, S.C., received the David Debien Technical Excellence award and the NCI National Training Excellence award. Goodman Manufacturing accepted the Vendor Partner of the Year award. Vince DiFilippo of DiFilippo Services, Paoli, Pa., received the 2012 NCI Chairman’s award.
The new MyNCI membership structure was formally introduced by NCI CEO Dominick Guarino, president Rob Falke, and NCI staff.
“Numerous members have been giving NCI valuable feedback about what they need most from us. Almost unanimously they have asked for better tools to help make Performance-Based Contracting™ a profitable, growing part of their business,” said Guarino. “We’ve been listening and NCI has made numerous changes. We’ve invested in the people, tools, technology, and content to give members as much value as possible from their NCI membership.
“MyNCI breaks down the walls between membership levels and incorporates the changes members requested, allowing each member to choose the benefits best suited for his or her company,” he said. “Plus, NCI has added a number of new member benefits and tools such as apps created and optimized for use on iPads. These apps will improve accuracy, professionalism, and productivity for the contractors who use them.”
