BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — Spirax Sarco has unveiled a new logo, brand initiative, and rebranded its HVAC Solutions software.

Spirax Sarco representatives said the company’s new tagline, “First for Steam Solutions,” reflects their desire to “meet customer needs while maintaining the market leading position as an organization that truly offers its customers value.”

The new logo and rebranding, which was heavily influenced by customer feedback, officially debuted for 2012.

“The brand of Spirax Sarco has always been centered around correct steam utilization and passing that knowledge onto industry users of steam as a heating medium,” said Stephen Gow, marketing director. “Our current evolution of the Spirax Sarco brand is still founded on this fundamental approach.

“Take, for example, one of our key differentiators of solutions. A customer solution can be as simple as a product, a series of products or services, a complex bespoke package, or even a better route to market. Our promise to our customers is to understand their business needs, and to provide them with the most appropriate and economically effective solutions.”

The company also announced the rebranding of its HVAC Solutions software to Steam DesignPro.

The Windows®-based software was created as a visual design tool featuring a drag-and-drop method for designing and modeling HVAC steam systems.

The software allows for modeling of steam generation, steam distribution, steam utilization, and condensate-handling systems. Additional features include the ability to select relief valves, flowmeters for steam and hydronic applications, and control valves.

The program also performs many engineering calculations and design tasks including head loss and static pressure calculations, pipe and duct sizing, data recalculation, component insertion, full psychrometic calculations, and equipment type changes on-the-fly.

“With Steam DesignPro, the design and layout of steam systems has never been easier,” said Bruce Moninghoff, vice president of Spirax Sarco sales. “Consulting engineers and designers will now have everything at their fingertips. They will love this program.”
