Dec. 8, 2011: ChemPoint.com to Supply Dow Glycol-Based Heat Transfer Fluids

MIDLAND, Mich., and BELLEVUE, Wash. — The Dow Chemical Co. has expanded its strategic relationship with ChemPoint.com, a leading e-distributor of fine and specialty chemicals, to supply DOWFROST™ and DOWTHERM™ glycol-based heat transfer fluids. ChemPoint will provide marketing, sales, order fulfillment, and expanded technical support for targeted customers in the HVAC, radiant, geothermal, and other industries in the United States.

“The ChemPoint technical sales team is a great conduit to reach the diverse market that demands and appreciates the value of Dow’s glycol-based thermal fluids,” said Maureen Conaway Simpkins, industrial business director.

“Dow is excited for the additional opportunities this expanded relationship with ChemPoint will bring to our customer base,” said Nicole Gorsuch, Dow North America marketing manager.

According to Dow, its glycol-based thermal fluids are produced from specially formulated industrial inhibitor packages and 100 percent virgin glycol with batch-to-batch consistency, to ensure years of reliable operation.
