DALLAS — Ray C. Robbins, former chairman of Lennox, passed away at 91 years of age.
His career spanned 51 years with Lennox International Inc. He first started working as a stock clerk for the Lennox Furnace Co. in 1940. During the last 25 years of his career, Robbins served as president, CEO, and finally as chairman of the Lennox board of directors. He retired in 1991.
He is survived by his wife Lois, and three children: Sandra (Anthony), Ray C. Robbins Jr. (Linda), and Eric L. Robbins; four grandsons, a granddaughter, and a great-grandson; and a sister, Vonda Evanchak. Mr. Robbins and his first wife, Jane Weeden, (deceased), were married in 1940.
