BRANCHBURG, N.J. — Noveda Technologies, a leader in web-based, real-time energy and water monitoring, has launched its Building EKG™ energy and water saving iPad app. The company said that this is the first in a series of mobile-based applications developed for business enterprises to better manage energy consumption and water usage in real-time and will initially be available on Apple devices.

According to Noveda, the Building EKG app is designed to help businesses access information anywhere and at any time, enabling decision makers to make on-demand changes across multiple platforms and at multiple facilities, irrespective of location. This application combines the capabilities of Noveda’s suite of monitoring solutions (EnergyFlow Monitor, SunFlow Monitor®, and Carbon Footprint Monitor), giving an integrated view of all energy cost drivers, including electric, gas, steam, and oil, among others.

EnergyFlow Monitor helps organizations identify inefficiencies and waste in energy and water use in buildings. Customers can use a single dashboard to track and analyze relevant data and in turn, develop action plans to drive better usage and cost savings. To date, Noveda customers have achieved 15 percent savings in their energy and water bills, on average, said the company. SunFlow Monitor provides real-time information on renewable energy production that is normalized for actual solar irradiance and helps businesses better utilize solar technologies.

“With the launch of the Building EKG application, Noveda can deliver actionable intelligence on energy and water use not only instantaneously, but via multiple channels to our customers wherever they are located. This helps our customers to take immediate action to reduce their energy and water consumption and maximize renewable energy production,” said Joe Jacob, chief technology officer at Noveda.

Jacob added, “Building EKG is the first in a suite of tablet PC and smartphone apps that we will be launching to enable our customers to save on energy and water bills, meet sustainability goals, and stay ahead of competition and regulation. This new offering addresses the global movement towards mobile Internet computing, mobile enterprises, and mobile workers. More and more we see tablet devices being integrated as viable business tools and Noveda wants to be at the forefront of that shift with our clients.”

The Building EKG app will be available at no charge to new and existing customers of Noveda’s monitoring solutions.
