BCAP is a nonprofit advocacy organization established in 1994 as a joint initiative of the Alliance to Save Energy, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, and the Natural Resources Defense Council. BCAP works with a number of stakeholders — including the U.S. Department of Energy, local, state and national agencies, building professionals, regional energy-efficiency groups, and utilities, among others — to support energy code adoption and implementation across the country and around the world.
With over 16 years of experience, BCAP facilitates increased communication and collaboration between allies, identifies and navigates past policy and structural pitfalls, and helps state and local decision-makers design strategies to improve building energy efficiency. BCAP also applies its expertise overseas, most recently in India, Ukraine, and across the APEC economies.
A social hour and dinner is also a part of the evening.
