LAS VEGAS — ARS®/Rescue Rooter®, a privately held, nationwide provider of air conditioning, heating and plumbing services, has announced the promotion of Kenneth Goodrich to Western zone president. The company also announced the appointment of James Thompson as vice president for the Western division.

Goodrich previously served as the Southwest vice president for ARS/Rescue Rooter and his appointment to Western zone president coincides with the regional restructuring of the company’s service locations. ARS/Rescue Rooter recently merged its five U.S. regions to form Eastern and Western zones. In his new position, Goodrich will oversee the ARS/Rescue Rooter service locations in the western United States.

Goodrich will manage 34 service branches in Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Washington, and northern and central California, and he will continue to oversee ARS/Rescue Rooter’s operations in Nevada, Arizona, and Southern California. As the top local executive, Goodrich will spearhead expansion and acquisition efforts in the Western zone.

“Ken has been vital to the growth of ARS/Rescue Rooter throughout the Southwest and he’s responsible for the acquisition of a number of quality service providers throughout the region,” said Dave Slott, president and chief operating officer of ARS/Rescue Rooter. “Under Ken’s direction, we look forward to further expansion and I’m confident he will continue to take our company to new levels of success.”

Thompson brings more than 22 years of management experience in the plumbing and HVAC industry to the ARS/Rescue Rooter network. Previously, he was the senior vice president for Mike Diamond Plumbing, a leading plumbing service company in Southern California. Thompson began his career as an apprentice plumber and worked his way up through the ranks of management.
