Specifically designed and engineered for commercial multisplit applications, the line of flare connection ball valves consists of 1/4- to 5/8-inch female flare x male flare valves. According to the manufacturer, unique to this offering are the 3/8- by 1/4-inch and 5/8- by 1/2-inch reducing valves that eliminate the cost and time involved with using a reducing flare fitting, not to mention the increased leak potential associated with an additional joint. All valves are UL-listed at 700-psi maximum working pressure. The valves also are available with an optional custom-fitted insulation cover. Made from elastomeric rubber insulation, the cover provides a tighter fit and superior insulating properties compared to PE foam covers. The self-sealing tape along the seam makes for hassle-free installation with no adhesive required.
