PITTSBURGH — South Hills Electric Heating Cooling announced that it has expanded its service area to the greater Pittsburgh area and beyond. Owner Pat Cray said, “Don’t let the name fool you. We have performed heating and air conditioning services as far west as Cambridge, Ohio, as far north as Zelienople, Pennsylvania, and as far east as Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and don’t forget we also expanded our southern coverage area as well to include all of Pennsylvania south of Pittsburgh.”

As to how this was accomplished, Cray said, “In the course of our daily operations we were able to increase our business last year (2010) by almost 300 percent. So we needed to bring on extra staff to accomplish this. Because we only hire top notch experienced heating and air conditioning technicians, we expanded our hiring area as well and were very pleasantly surprised. We are now proud to offer excellent service response times to many more areas as a result. This allows us to send local HVAC techs to areas and communities they know already, which increased our efficiency as well.”

South Hills Electric Heating Cooling has been operating in the Pittsburgh area since 1993. Its businesses include South Hills Electric LLC, which is a licensed, certified, registered, and insured full-service Pittsburgh electrical contractor. Both businesses have expanded their service area to match the need for residential and commercial heating, air conditioning, and electrical services in and around Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.

“We were getting No Heat and Broken Air Conditioner calls many miles from our base of operations. Our advertising was reaching farther than our service area and we felt the need to offer our services to this expanded audience because of this. That’s what led to the scenario I mentioned previously. We asked these customers what we could do to help and they responded, come out anyway, even if the distance was great. So we did. We’d like to thank those and all our customers for using our HVAC and electrical services and we look forward to being there for them in a bigger way in the future,” said Cray.
