Schneider Acquires Viconics Electronics

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, has acquired the assets and daily operations of Viconics Electronics Inc. of Quebec, Canada.

For 30 years Viconics’ focus has been on factory-programmed, field-configurable, standalone and networked communicating wall-mounted temperature controllers. The products include network-ready solutions using BACnet®, Lontalk®, and Wireless Zigbee® communications, as well as power controls for electric heat, sensors, and controllers for humidity. The products are designed for ease of installation and commissioning, optimized energy savings, and improved occupant comfort.
