AMESBURY, Mass. - Polygon, a leader in water and fire damage restoration and remediation, and for temporary climate control in construction and industrial applications, has announced a new structure to enhance its customer service and operations, and to further build its business.

Formerly the MCS division of Munters, Polygon was formed Oct. 1 as an independent company focused on the property damage restoration and temporary humidity control markets. Polygon already is an established brand in the Nordic region.

“Using our patented desiccant dehumidification technology, we’ve been handling large temporary humidity control projects in the commercial and industrial markets in the U.S. for decades,” said Elvir Kolak, president of U.S. and Canada operations of Polygon. “We will continue those projects and also will target more medium-sized and smaller commercial and industrial jobs to bring our high quality of work and services to a greater number of companies.

“To help meet these goals we have broadened our service offerings in the eastern United States, and plan to unveil other new services and innovations later this year.”

Polygon has restructured its existing executive team to both build on its customer service and implement new initiatives. Jeff Rainville, director of sales and marketing for Polygon, is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of all Polygon sales and marketing strategies in North America and reports directly to Kolak.

The company now has three regional directors for its U.S. operations: Ken Gernenz, regional director – south; Larry Waltemire, regional director – north; and Frank Dobosz, regional director – west. Fabio Bernardo, general manager region Canada, heads Polygon’s three offices in Canada.

Polygon also has two directors to oversee all company accounts and projects. David Simkins, director of industrial services, manages construction drying, surface preparation and coating, and temporary humidity control operations, while Brad Key, director of restoration services, leads property damage restoration business.

In addition, sector managers will work with national account representatives and local sales people to handle industry-specific segments.

“This reorganization allows Polygon to provide a consistent response and solution for all customers’ needs, whether the service is humidity control, fire or water damage restoration, or surface preparation and coating,” said Kolak.
