FORT WAYNE, Ind. - WaterFurnace International Inc. donated $20,000 in proceeds from its 22nd Annual Supplier Golf Outing to the United Service Organization (USO) of Indiana. The outing took place Sept. 9 in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Tom Huntington, WaterFurnace president and CEO, presented a check for the donation amount to the USO of Indiana during an Oct. 8 press conference. “This represents the fourth consecutive year that WaterFurnace has donated the fundraising money from our golf outing to the USO. I am delighted and proud that we could contribute such a large amount of money to this organization,” Huntington said.

Participants in the golf outing were encouraged to make a donation during an online registration process. In addition, WaterFurnace raised money during the golf outing with on-course fundraising activities that included selling mulligans, USO shirts, and mugs.

An auction was also held to sell autographed USO and WaterFurnace Supplier Golf Outing golf flags. The flags were signed by athletes and dignitaries from the NFL, PGA, NCAA, IRL and NASCAR, including Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts tight end; Vijay Singh, PGA Tour golfer; and Jeff Gordon, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver.

WaterFurnace matched the fundraising activities to reach the $20,000 mark and far surpassed its goal to exceed last year’s $5,000 donation.
