Greenheck: Digital Scrolls in Energy Recovery Ventilators
February 21, 2011
Greenheck has introduced digital scroll compressors in its Model ERCH and Model VER energy recovery ventilators to improve temperature and humidity control and save energy. Featuring an integral controller with a time-averaging sequence, the rate at which the scrolls are engaged and disengaged varies in order to match the required cooling capacity. Using digital scrolls for capacity control provides leaving air temperatures as precise as 1°F. In addition, digital scrolls offer cooling capacity turndown from 10 to 100 percent.
