Tecumseh Products Co.: Indoor Air-Cooled Condensing Units
September 13, 2010
The Celseon® fractional hp indoor air-cooled condensing units have a modular construction built around a common base plate that accommodates an assortment of the company’s AE compressor models and standardized components. According to the manufacturer, the compact design works well in space-restricted applications. The condensing units are designed for use with refrigerants R-134a, R-22, and R-404A/R-507. They cover a capacity range from 1/6 to 1/3 hp for commercial/high-temperature applications and 1/5 to 1/3 hp for low-temperature applications. The molded fan shroud directs airflow across the entire coil surface, optimizing system performance and ensuring that cabinet temperatures are maintained at extreme operating conditions. The shroud assembly can be removed easily to facilitate coil cleaning and fan motor replacement. Shaded pole fan motors, sweat connections, and electrical screw terminations are standard. Service valves and liquid line receivers are available as options.
