COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Heating, Airconditioning, and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) has launched a new website - www.savehvacjobs.com - focused on generating support for an extension of the 25C residential tax credits. These federal tax credits, which offer $1,500 to homeowners who purchase qualifying products, including high-efficiency central air conditioning, furnace, and heat pump systems, are set to expire at the end of 2010.

Industry members are encouraged to visit www.savehvacjobs.com and sign up to have their company name or logo listed as a supporter of 25C extension. The site also has a letter-writing feature that enables visitors to send a pre-drafted letter or compose their own letter to their government representatives.

According to vice president Talbot Gee, “HARDI has serious concerns about the 2011 HVAC market should these tax credits not be extended, so we’ve invested in this new website that any HVAC business can use to communicate directly with their elected federal representatives as often as they can urging an immediate extension of these important tax credits.”
