The FAAST Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology is an early-warning fire detector that will protect mission-critical facilities and high-value assets from the faintest traces of smoke, says the company. The smoke detection performance is built around the Dual Vision sensing technology. The sensor utilizes an extremely sensitive LED to provide very early warning fire detection, per the National Fire Protection Association 76 Standard, up to 60 minutes before combustion. The sensor also uses an infrared laser to identify nuisances like dust that can cause false alarms and downtime. For communications, FAAST provides an onboard Ethernet port for easy connection to a computer, a network, and the Internet, enabling facility managers to actively monitor and protect their environments from any Internet browser, smart phone, or mobile device. The detector can also e-mail status notifications to multiple addresses.
