The High Temperature (HT) blanket insulation features a minimum of 60 percent recycled content and is approved for applications up to 1,000°F. The insulation can be applied directly to any hot surface and brings exceptional thermal and acoustical performance to industrial equipment, panel systems, pipe fittings, vessels, boilers, and tanks. Available in batts or rolls, the insulation is composed of rotary glass fibers bonded together using a thermosetting resin and formed into plain, flexible, and resilient thermal insulation. It is easy to handle, cut, and install and is available in a variety of thicknesses, up to 4 inches. The blanket is fire- and moisture-resistant and is not susceptible to mold or bacterial growth. It is flexible, noncorrosive to steel, and provides ideal sound absorption for acoustical comfort, as well as improving life safety in high-temperature applications, says the company. The blanket achieved American Society for Testing and Materials International (ASTM) C553, a standard for mineral fiber thermal insulation, and meets specifications for LEED-certified projects with the U.S. Green Building Council.
