LEESBURG, Va. - Rehau opened its first permanent Rehau Academy training center in Canada. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new facility, located in Burlington, Ontario.

“Rehau and Rehau Academy are committed to providing professional training opportunities that elevate technical know-how and increase business opportunities for our attendees,” said Lance MacNevin, Rehau Academy manager. “Demand continues to escalate throughout Canada for expertise in PEX-based radiant heating/cooling, snow and ice melting, and geothermal system design and installation, as well as the ability to integrate sustainable building technologies. We are pleased to address this demand by establishing our premiere Canadian Academy training center in Burlington, and look forward to offering an enhanced variety of professional development experiences here.”

“Companies like Rehau help the entire industry to continually raise the bar of pride, professionalism, and excellence,” said Ken Tomihiro, program manager at the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH). “The new Academy training facility is an impressive representation of Rehau’s commitment to the cultivation of industry professionals, and we are very thankful for our ability to also use it for CIPH training programs.”

The facility’s inaugural training class, a comprehensive three-day Skill Builders Complete seminar, was attended by more than 25 construction industry professionals.

The new Rehau Academy training center will be frequently utilized for seminars facilitated by MacNevin, Rehau Ontario account manager Dale Hanscomb, and other training professionals. It will also be available as a professional development meeting space for Rehau customers and partners across all construction sectors, including HVAC, renewable energy, and windows and doors.
