According to the company, by using ProContractorMX and RSMeans’ cost data, contractors can make well-informed decisions about labor, materials, and equipment costs in order to submit accurate and competitive bids. The cost databases that can be utilized with ProContractorMX include mechanical, plumbing, electrical, concrete, light commercial, residential, and commercial composite. Each database comes complete with city cost indexes, which are used to accurately calculate costs for specific cities or regions. RSMeans databases are all available in UniFormat, a publication of CSI and CSC. UniFormat is the Uniform Classification System for organizing preliminary construction information into a standard order or sequence on the basis of functional elements.
