WASHINGTON - The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International has announced the latest buildings to earn its BOMA 360 Performance Program designation. According to the association, the BOMA 360 Performance Program recognizes commercial buildings that demonstrate best practices in building operations and management. The association said these 12 buildings join the list of best-in-class buildings that have received the designation since its inception last spring.

“These building owners should be very proud of their achievement in earning the BOMA 360 designation,” stated BOMA International Chair James A. Peck, RPA, FMA, senior director of asset services, CB Richard Ellis. “The BOMA 360 designation tells investors, peers, tenants, and the industry at large that a building is performing at the highest standards of excellence.”

The BOMA 360 Performance Program is an online self-assessment that evaluates properties on six major areas of building management: building operations and management; life safety/security/risk management; training and education; energy; environment/sustainability; and tenant relations/community involvement. BOMA said the holistic nature of the program means that every aspect of building performance is assessed and scores are based on how buildings meet an extensive checklist of best practices.

The new BOMA 360 buildings include: 35 West Wacker Drive, Chicago; 201 17th St. Atlantic Station, Atlanta; 271 17th Street in Atlantic Station, Atlanta; 2925 Briarpark, Houston; America Tower, Houston; FBI Chicago Regional Office, Chicago; Granite Westchase II, Houston; Hammond U.S. Courthouse, Hammond, Ind.; Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Plaza 3, The Woodlands, Texas; The Madison, Addison, Texas; Tucson Federal Building, Tucson, Ariz.; and Weslayan Tower, Houston.
