KETTERING, Ohio, and YORK, Pa. - GE Money, the consumer lending unit of General Electric Co., and York have announced a multi-year agreement to offer the GE Money Home DesignSMprogram to provide consumer financing on York residential HVAC equipment. The private-label credit card program is managed by GE Money’s Sales Finance unit.

According to the companies, homeowners can use the Home Design card to purchase any of York’s HVAC products, which include the York, Coleman, and Luxaire brands, and consumers can find an approved dealer in their area via GE Money’s online Business Locator. The application process is said to be fast and easy, with credit decisions occurring within seconds. Additionally, homeowners may be able to take advantage of up to $1,500 in tax incentives on qualified purchases of high-efficiency HVAC products and equipment for their primary residences.

“Often the purchase of a heating or air conditioning unit is an immediate need, and the Home Design program gives our customers financial flexibility at a very important time,” said Mike Simpson, manager of distributor development for York.

As part of the program agreement, York dealers will use GE Money’s web-based finance management portal, Business Center. GE Money said Business Center provides dealers with an easy, secure way to manage their credit programs and better serve their customers.

“We are excited to partner with York in providing this flexible service offering,” said Bruce Christensen, vice president and general manager of GE Money’s Home Improvement division. “The Home Design program presents customers with a new way to budget and pay for purchases through our competitive rates and promotions.”
