Dec. 7, 2009: Carrier Acquires the Controls Businesses of the i2S Group

LEATHERHEAD, United Kingdom - Carrier Corp. has acquired the controls businesses of the i2S Group: DMS Controls Ltd., ESL Ltd., and i2S Service Ltd. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Collectively, these companies design, install, and service complete building management systems, primarily for commercial office buildings in the United Kingdom.

“The acquisition of i2S Group’s controls business further enhances Carrier’s building management systems capabilities in Europe,” said David Appel, president, Carrier HVAC Europe Middle East and Africa. “This will enable Carrier to provide a comprehensive set of products and services to meet its customers’ needs for ease of control and energy savings.”
