The Greenguard Environmental Institute (GEI) unveiled its newly redesigned Website, www.greenguard.org, which GEI said offers manufacturers a roadmap for certifying indoor environment products and materials for low-chemical emissions. The site also highlights the various certification programs that GEI offers, as well as lists sustainable credits that architects and designers can earn by using Greenguard-certified products.

GEI is an industry-independent, third-party, not-for-profit organization that aims to improve human health through programs that reduce people’s exposure to chemicals and other indoor pollutants. The Greenguard certification programs certify products for low chemical emissions and provide consumers with a resource for choosing healthier products and materials for indoor environments.

“Part of GEI’s promise to participating product manufacturers is to provide market support for Greenguard-certified products and help them create value through Greenguard certification,” said Henning Bloech, executive director of GEI. “Our new and improved Website allows us to not only educate the public about indoor air quality, but also to help boost visibility for Greenguard-certified products.”

In addition to a new overall design, other new features on the Website include an online “technical center” that offers detailed technical information; a library of industry-relevant white papers; and a calendar of events outlining various conferences and trade shows in which GEI participates.
