CLEVELAND - Arzel Zoning Technology has released its 2010 schedule for classes and has enhanced the curriculum for its Comfort College educational sessions.

The 2010 dates are: Feb. 11-12, March 11-12, April 8-9, May 13-14, and June 10-11. All 2010 scheduled classes will be held at the Arzel offices in Cleveland and carry 10 hours of North American Technician Excellence (NATE) recertification along with Ohio State credit.

According to the company, Comfort College involves a careful examination of zoning as a tool of HVAC contractors for solving too hot and too cold problems in residential or light commercial new construction and retrofit applications. An emphasis will be placed on retrofit applications, as it is the focal marketplace for Arzel’s product line. Comfort College is designed as a lecture-lab course in which topics are presented by the instructors and examined in lab exercises. Upon completion of the course, students will have the technical knowledge and an understanding of the market opportunity necessary to include zoning into their business offerings.

The educational class has been offered since the fall of 2006 and has graduated over 800 contractors, distributors, and other HVAC professionals. The course educates on zoning opportunity recognition, product familiarization, system design, and proper installation techniques. Comfort College is a NATE-recognized course with hours of credit available for recertification in air installation and distribution. The course also offers continuing education credits for Ohio license holders. Arzel is in the process of adding other state licensing opportunities to better serve its national student base.
