COURSE DESCRIPTION:This week-long event includes classroom instruction, field training, and Building Performance Institute Building Analyst certification testing. Topics in the classroom training portion include principles of energy and building science; the energy audit process; building shell and thermal envelope; building systems: HVAC, lighting, appliances, and domestic hot water; and blower door testing. The field training applies the fundamental principles learned in the classroom to an actual residential home.
