GERMANTOWN, Md. - Telkonet Inc., a developer and manufacturer of proprietary energy management and smart grid networking technology, announced that it is hosting a free energy management Webinar for colleges and universities on Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Reflecting the government drive to support energy efficiency projects through funding available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the Webinar will focus on occupancy-sensing technologies that reduce energy costs in dorms, classrooms, and portable buildings.

Webinar topics include:

• Energy management challenges for HVAC and lighting.

• Pros and cons of traditional and advanced energy management systems.

• Capabilities of stand-alone and networked occupancy-based energy management systems.
