ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Chapter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities has appointed Jim Souers, president and COO of Marcone Supply, as a member of its board of directors, chosen out of approximately 30 applicants to serve on the board in 2009.

“I am humbled to have been chosen,” Souers said. “Ronald McDonald House Charities is an organization that I believe in and am honored to be a part of. It’s a privilege to be able to help so many families and children. This is an organization our company has really enjoyed getting behind and supporting this past year and look forward to the years ahead.”

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is a nationwide organization comprised of local chapters who seek to provide a “home away from home” to families who must travel to seek medical care for their children and who cannot afford lodging. Marcone Supply has helped to support RMHC by getting involved in dinner auctions and sporting events, and by preparing and serving meals to the families staying at Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. During a recent industry convention in Las Vegas, Marcone managed to raise over $10,000 to support RHMC. Souers’ appointment to the board of directors demonstrates Marcone Supply’s commitment of continued support for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Marcone Supply is a supplier of appliance parts and maintenance products, offering next-day shipping to 91 percent of the U.S. population and exporting to over 117 countries. For more information about Marcone Supply or its involvement in Ronald McDonald House Charities, contact Ashley Blaske at 800-314-3142 or by e-mail at ashley.blaske@marcone.com.
