ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced a new partnership with Federated Insurance, one of the nation’s largest mutual insurance companies. Through the partnership, ACCA members will have access to a growing library of articles and resources related to workplace safety and business risk management, located online at www.acca.org/safety.

“ACCA’s leaders chose Federated Insurance as our partner because of their expertise in working with our industry,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. “The people at Federated are not coming from outside, since they have been working with contractors all over the country, including many of ACCA’s state and local chapters, for many years. They get contractors and they get contracting.”

According to Pat Cooper, Federated Insurance’s first vice president and director of marketing, “Everyone knows that ACCA members are some of the best of the best HVACR contractors in the industry. That’s why we are so proud to be the preferred provider for their members’ insurance and risk management needs.”

Federated will serve as a platinum elite sponsor of the ACCA Conference, which will be held Feb. 24-26, 2009, and will also be sponsoring the association’s Safety Masters Club program, the industry’s highest recognition for contractors committed to workplace safety. Federated’s loss control experts will be working with ACCA’s Safety Committee to develop programs that contractor members can use to enhance workplace productivity and ensure the health and well-being of employees.
