Matt Hege of Team Hackman used the Lenox Gold Recip Blade to cut a car in half in one minute and 41 seconds during Modern Supply Co.’s Counter Day event in Knoxville, Tenn.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Approximately 250 people attended Modern Supply’s Counter Day in Knoxville, Tenn. Customers participated in a variety of activities and educational opportunities.

Multiple vendors were on hand displaying products as well, including Rheem Manufacturing, which showcased its new American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) compliant commercial units. Fujitsu General mini-split heat pumps were displayed as well. Lasco Bathware’s showcase trailer was on hand, American Water Heater displayed its tankless water heaters, Wirsbo/Uponor trained customers in installation of PEX tubing, Oatey was on hand, and Delta Faucets featured its new Diamond Seal Technology.

The highlight of the event was Team Hackman. This team, sponsored by Lenox, travels the United States and the world demonstrating the strength of Lenox saw blades and their cutting skills by cutting cars, buses, trucks, houses, planes, trains, etc.

Chris Phillips of Pipe Wrench Plumbing, guessed closest to the time posted, winning a tool bag containing $500 of Lenox tools. Modern Supply also gave away door prizes including a Lasco Whirlpool, a $50 Lowe’s gift card from Gray Metal, and a Rheem gift pack.
