Obituary: David Fearnow

DORR, Mich. - David E. Fearnow Sr., 59, died July 28, 2008. He was an instructor of HVAC at Kent Skill Center in Grand Rapids, where he taught for nine years, in addition to his 24 years as an instructor at Grand Rapids Community College.

Fearnow received a bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University and a master’s degree from Western Michigan University. He was involved in the Wayland Union Athletic Boosters and Dorr Recreation Summer Ball programs. He retired in May 2007.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen; mother Evelyn; sisters Betty (Walt) Shimmel and Laurie (Jim) Locke; children Jenny (David) Schuster, David Jr., John, Molly, and Sam Fearnow; and grandchildren Abigail and Isabel Schuster. He was preceded in death by his father David and sister Pam.
