Garry Simpson, founder of Simpson Mechanical, has announced the launch of the company’s branded residential division, Simpson Air.

For Simpson, a $10 million a year sales and service company, the move coincides with its plan to fuel growth by expanding HVAC-related services to homeowners throughout the region.

“Since 1999, we’ve installed thousands of air systems with our commercial and new home partners,” said Simpson. “An efficient air system, regardless if it’s a repair or change out, is only as good as the knowledge the technician uses to maximize the technology. Since few do this like Simpson, we’re confident that our retail division will be very successful.”

Simpson said that while the company has performed some retail services on a limited basis, the newly branded division’s full attention would be to expand the company’s residential services throughout Tampa Bay.

“We believe there are significant growth opportunities in this market,” he said.

Simpson Air is marketing the division and its repair, maintenance, and product replacement services to area homeowners. “We’re adapting to market needs. Reports indicate that homeowners are staying in their current homes longer. While our existing business-to-business contract work remains constant, the market potential of helping an owner of an older home upgrade their unit or make an existing system more efficient is climbing.”

Simpson Mechanical launched in 1999 with two employees. By 2003, the company had 22 employees and totaled $4 million in sales. Currently, Simpson produces $10 million in sales through its 42 employees, according to the company.
