The SRH2 standalone diagnostic psychrometer performs the typical functions of a digital psychrometer (dry bulb, wet bulb, percent relative humidity, and dew point), as well as helps HVAC technicians analyze an air conditioning system by automatically calculating target superheat (TSH) and target evaporator exit temperature (TEET). According to the manufacturer, superheat is the best method for correctly charging a fixed orifice air conditioning system, and TEET is needed to ensure proper airflow across the evaporator. The SRH2 includes two thermocouples. The ATA1 thermocouple measures dry bulb and the ATWB1 thermocouple measures wet bulb. The company’s alligator clip design holds each of the thermocouples in place. Unit features include a backlit display, a magnetic hanger on the back, auto power off after 15 minutes of inactivity, and max/min/hold functions.
