St. LOUIS - From now until Oct. 31, 2008, contractors can enter to win the “latest and greenest” refrigerant gadget. Through its ecoLogic green program, Nordyne is giving away a brand new Yellow Jacket solar-powered digital LCD manifold.

Not even on the market yet, the new refrigerant gauge is powered by sun or artificial light instead of batteries. The Yellow Jacket Titan 4-valve manifold works with eight refrigerants, including R-410A. No battery to replace also means no hazardous waste, no battery replacement cost, and no losing power during the middle of a call, said the company.
