OTTAWA - Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) in conjunction with the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) hosted a consultation meeting on a proposed Energy Star® specification for heat recovery ventilators (HRVs) for Canada. NRCan is currently evaluating the process for developing a specification for HRVs for Canada.

This process will look at all of the elements that should be considered in measuring energy performance and assessing what should be considered for a high-performance Energy Star level and associated metric.

The agency will also be developing a framework for the delivery of this specification and will consult with stakeholders to help by providing market and product information for products sold in Canada.
