The wireless energy management system reduces energy consumption for commercial, industrial, retail, and government buildings, as well as for condo developments and apartment buildings. System components include wireless sensors, controls, pulse counters for submetering, and gateways to interface the system with automation systems. Applications range from complete energy management systems and energy audits to submetering. The system can be used with Java-based billing allocation software for submetering, available from the company, or with the user's own building automation systems and billing programs. Wireless installation costs a fraction of a wired installation, and can be completed in one-quarter of the time required for wired, claims the manufacturer. The wireless energy management system has been implemented in commercial buildings in the United States and Europe to reduce CO2 emissions, monitor the health of HVAC systems, and reduce energy costs.
