OBJECTIVE:Modify the HVACR system located on the second floor of a building that housed other tenants without interrupting their business.

DESCRIPTION:Comprehensive Energy Services Inc. (CES) recently placed the finishing touches on the BB King Blues Club located in a Pointe Orlando retail complex. The fast track, $335,000 project was completed within 120 days, which according to CES required intense site coordination. Part of the project was to relocate and demolish some of the existing rooftop equipment that serviced neighboring and adjacent tenant spaces. “The BB King project was challenging because it was located on the second floor of a building that housed other tenants on the floor below,” said Tim Lewis, senior project manager, CES. “As a result, the roof needed to be laid out with the proper clearances between new and existing equipment.” CES also installed wrapped galvanized rectangular ductwork, welded black steel hood exhaust duct, aluminum dishwasher exhaust duct, and double-wall spiral supply ductwork.
