SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. - UTC Power, a United Technologies Corp. company, announced that it has acquired Dome-Tech Group, a national energy consulting firm based in Edison, N.J., and New York City. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Dome-Tech’s services include optimizing building system performance to reduce energy costs and improve overall efficiency. It facilitates green, sustainable construction, energy and carbon footprint reduction, smart energy procurement practices, and project development services. Customers include major pharmaceutical and industrial companies, large utilities, educational institutions, health care firms, and retail businesses.

According to Ken Fox, UTC Power’s vice president of on-site power, “Dome-Tech is a very good strategic fit for us. Its capabilities complement UTC Power and will enable us to further reduce our customer’s energy costs and carbon footprint. Combining Dome-Tech’s broad range of energy optimization services with UTC Power’s energy-efficient, environmentally advanced products will create a full-service energy consulting capability that does not exist in the marketplace today. We expect to grow to meet the rapidly expanding need for this unique service platform.”
