VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Smartcool Systems Inc. announced that it has signed a sales distribution agreement with Combined Refrigeration Resources Inc. (CRR), based in Humble, Texas. CRR specializes in custom equipment design, sales, marketing, and maintenance in the HVACR market. It is a factory-direct distributor of Dunham-Bush and also authorized dealer and service provider for other HVACR equipment companies including Master-Bilt, Danfoss, Hartford Compressors, Rae Corp., and Rittal. CRR, which has a significant presence in the south central United States, will initially direct its efforts in Texas and Oklahoma.

CRR’s first project has already been installed with Blue Bell Creameries, Brenham, Texas. Blue Bell ranks as one of the top three best selling ice creams in the United States and has over 50 production and sales locations in the southeastern U.S. The first installation in the Blue Bell facility will provide data confirming the level of savings available through the installation of Smartcool’s Energy Savings Module (ESM)™ technology. Upon successful completion, it is anticipated that Smartcool’s ESM will be installed throughout the Blue Bell Creameries network.

“Smartcool’s Energy Savings Module technology is a perfect fit into our existing suite of products and services,” stated Dan Baker of Combined Refrigeration. “We are committed to servicing our existing client base with the best of breed controls and energy management products within the HVACR sector. The ESM surely does that. Our initial pilot project has been installed with Blue Bell and the evaluation period is well underway. We are confident it will provide the energy savings that have been experienced in other Smartcool installations.”

“Combined Refrigeration has a significant presence in the air conditioning and refrigeration sector and is exactly the kind of sales and servicing group Smartcool is looking to align ourselves with,” said Andy Stanfield, general manager of Smartcool Systems USA. “With their experience and strong technical staff, we feel very confident that the ESM will be sold and supported to the highest standards and we are very excited that our technology will be introduced to their existing client contacts.”

Smartcool Systems specializes in energy and cost reduction technologies for commercial and retail businesses. The ESM is designed to reduce the electricity consumption and maximum demand of air conditioning and refrigeration compressors. Rather than replacing existing equipment, the ESM works in conjunction with existing controls in order to ensure that compressors work at maximum efficiency, while maintaining preset temperature levels and without causing overcycling.
