DALLAS - Lennox International appointed John Hurst to the position of vice president of residential product management. He reports directly to Doug Young, president and COO, LII Residential Heating and Cooling, and will be based in Dallas.

“John has a wealth of experience and leadership that we will draw on in our residential business,” said Young. “We welcome his knowledge and expertise as we address such challenging issues as higher furnace efficiency regulations and the R-22 refrigerant phaseout.”

Most recently Hurst was vice-president of business development at Prenova, a startup in the growing energy and environmental services industry. Prior to Prenova, he was the general manager of mechanical systems for The Home Depot Installation Services, where he was responsible for the installed mechanical systems organization including sales, advertising, marketing, merchandising, systems, services development, and call center operations. He worked closely with Service Experts to grow the HVAC services segment of The Home Depot.

Hurst developed experience in the HVAC industry while serving as managing director of marketing at Carrier Commercial Refrigeration. Earlier in his career, he held a series of director positions at The Coca-Cola Co. He graduated from the United States Military Academy and earned his MBA while at Coca-Cola.
