MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - “Creating Quality Environments” is the theme for the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada’s (HRAI’s) 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held Sept. 13-15, 2007, at the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa, Victoria, British Columbia. This meeting will provide delegates with business sessions that will meet the needs of HRAI’s three divisions: Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors of Canada (HRAC); the Canadian Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Wholesalers (CHRAW); and the HRAI Manufacturers Division, as well as associate members.

The AGM kickoff breakfast will feature keynote speaker Colin Angus. He will present his journey “Beyond the Horizon” and share his experiences as the man who completed the first circumnavigation of planet earth exclusively by human power.

Key plenary business sessions at the AGM will include Indoor Air Quality – the causes, the effects and the solutions; the GeoExchange market in Canada; and a breakfast session featuring Robert Bean.

Business sessions for contractor delegates are divided into commercial, residential, and marketing sessions, including: Innovative Heating Solutions Using Infrared Heat, Smart Compressors & Controls for Refrigeration, Balancing the Refrigeration Energy Equation, Evacuated Tube Solar Collectors, Preparing for New Heating Technology, Ventilation IAQ System Design, Reliable Image Pricing Systems, Human Resources, Climate Change, and Gear up for Energy.

Manufacturer and wholesaler delegates will participate in product section meetings on Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning, Indoor Air Quality, Heating & Air Conditioning and Controls. These sessions will address regulatory, market, and supply chain issues as well as promote dialogue between the two sectors of the industry.
