Trane: Gas Furnace

The XV90i gas furnace has the CleanEffects™ system built into it, which is capable of removing up to 99 percent of airborne allergens down to 0.3 microns, said the company. According to the company, air flows freely through the CleanEffects filter with a low-pressure drop and the highest efficiency possible, without the arcing and popping of conventional electronic air cleaners. The cleanable filter never needs replacing. The furnace has integrated key control functions into one microelectronic system, which monitors the thermostat and gas valve. The variable-speed blower with Comfort-R™ mode constantly adjusts the system for maximum efficiency and comfort. The furnace is rated up to 93-plus percent AFUE. Features include self-diagnostic controls, a heavy steel insulated cabinet, and a pre-painted finish.
