ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America
(ACCA) is now accepting nominations for the 2007 ACCA Contractor Excellence
Awards.
Nominations, including self-nominations, are open for the ACCA
Residential Excellence Award, the ACCA Commercial Excellence Award, and the
Jeff Forker Award for Excellence in Training.
The Residential Excellence and Commercial Excellence awards are
each given to ACCA contractor members who have demonstrated significant and
exemplary achievement and success in managing their residential or commercial
HVACR business. They must be properly licensed by the state, city, and/or local
municipality in which they operate; have been a member of ACCA for three or
more years; committed to quality, ethical standards, sound business practices,
and improving the HVACR industry; dedicated to skills training and professional
development for all employees, especially in the NATE certification for
technicians of residential contractors; educate customers about efficiency,
quality, and safety of products and serices; advocate safety in the workplace;
and active in the local community through donation of time, money, and/or
services.
The Jeff Forker Award for Excellence in Training is awarded to an
ACCA member who has championed education and training initiatives and who has
made outstanding progress in raising the HVACR industry’s professional
standard. “These are the most prestigious contractor awards in the industry,”
said Paul Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. The winners will be announced at
ACCA’s Annual Conference and Indoor Air Expo, March 6-8. Nominees must be
contractor members in good standing with ACCA. Instructions on completing a
