MILWAUKEE - Johnson Controls Inc. has announced the acquisition of Pro-Tel Inc., a mechanical services contractor headquartered in Waukesha, Wis. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Pro-Tel offers mechanical maintenance, repair, replace, and overall technical service capabilities that Johnson Controls says will complement its ability to serve local customers. Pro-Tel has approximately 70 employees.

"Pro-Tel has an excellent reputation and high customer satisfaction," said Eric Reisner, vice president of service business development and strategic programs for the Controls Group of Johnson Controls. "It is a great combination for Wisconsin customers to have the delivery capabilities of Pro-Tel combined with our facility management, building controls, fire, and security."
