Aug. 13, 2002: ACCA Changes Staff Structure To Support New Federation
To position ACCA headquarters staff to partner with state and local chapters and meet changing member needs, Paul T. Stalknecht, president and CEO of ACCA, announced the creation of a new Membership Services department to oversee membership marketing, development, and analysis. “ACCA and our affiliates want to represent the best contractors in the country, not necessarily the most,” Stalknecht said. “Working with our chapter leaders, we are developing aggressive programs to identify those best contractors, the ones who share our vision, and bring them on board.”
Stalknecht announced that Kevin W. Holland will assume management of this new department. Holland, vice president for communications and information services, will continue to oversee the association’s communications and information technology programs in addition to his expanded responsibilities. Effective immediately, he will be named vice president for communications and membership services.
“Kevin has taken ACCA’s communications program to a whole new level of professionalism this year, and has been an extraordinary asset to the organization,” Stalknecht said. “With his extensive background in association management at the state and national level, I’m confident that he will bring the same creative, entrepreneurial spirit to our membership program.”
Holland’s first action in his new role was the promotion of Kimya D. Bailey to director of membership services. Bailey, formerly manager of communications programs, will now oversee the association’s membership management function.
Jeanne Cooper, director of federation relations, will serve as chief liaison with the ACCA affiliates and work to develop new state associations.
“As we move ACCA through this historic federation and into the future of the contracting industry, the two-way relationship between chapters and headquarters is of primary importance,” said Jim Hussey, 2002-2003 ACCA chairman. “Positioning our Federation Relations department so prominently, headed by a strong leader like Jeanne Cooper, shows the tremendous value and respect the ‘one ACCA’ has for our chapter affiliates.”
Chris Hoelzel, vice president for marketing and business development, will now focus his efforts on the development and marketing of ACCA technical and management products, business partnerships, and conference and training programs.
Stalknecht also announced that Hilary P. Atkins, vice president for industry relations, will assume the additional position of corporate counsel.
ACCA is a national trade association that represents the educational, policy, and technical interests of the men and women who design, install, and maintain indoor environmental systems.
