ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has launched a new online resource: an interactive newsboard called "ACCAbuzz," available through the association's Web site at www.acca.org.

ACCAbuzz is a "weblog," more popularly known as a "blog." According to ACCA, it has been developed to provide news, commentary, and tips for the HVACR industry, both through original content and by combing the Internet to provide useful links.

"ACCAbuzz offers us a dynamic way to communicate with the industry, and an effective way for contractors and the HVACR community to get a quick dose of ‘what's going on' that may affect them," said Kevin W. Holland, ACCA's vice president for Communications & Membership Services.

In addition to news items, ACCAbuzz will also feature original tips and techniques from HVACR contractors and experts, and will soon launch a feature where "guest bloggers" are invited to post articles on HVAC marketing, management, and technical issues for a week at a time.

Items on the ACCAbuzz blog are also interactive in that readers can post comments and engage in discussion. News items from the past seven days are listed in reverse chronological order, and they can also be viewed by section categories.
