IRVINE, CA — FieldCentrix Enterprise, a provider of wireless, Internet-based software for field service automation, based here in Irvine, announced that it signed its first international reseller, Canadian-based Consilient Technologies. Consilient is a wireless service provider that enables mobile workers to access industry-specific applications and in-house corporate data over its national network.

FieldCentrix’ mobile service systems integrate field force automation software, wireless communications, handheld computers, and the Internet to automate field service operations, including communication between the field technician and the office, receipt of work assignments, completion of workorders, and making information ready for invoice and payroll. “One of our primary target markets is mobile service workers,” said Trevor Adey, president of Consilient. “Once we saw what FieldCentrix’s … software was capable of, we knew we had a match.” The company is focusing on hvac service workers in Canada.

Consilient has offices in St. John’s, NF, and Toronto, ON, and plans to open an office in western Canada in the near future. Consilient will host and maintain wireless applications in an application service provider (ASP) model, providing service bundling for a total and seamless wireless data service with one point of contact.

“Because Consilient’s sales force comes from the hvac industry, they have immediate credibility with potential customers,” added Judy Johnson, FieldCentrix senior vice president of marketing.
