PHOENIX - The Phoenix location of Aerotech Laboratories Inc. has successfully renewed and expanded its ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), said to be the highest such accreditation for laboratories.

The scope of the A2LA accreditation, which already included analysis of biological, microbiological, and biochemical tests on air, surface, and water samples, now includes consumer product and food safety analyses, as well as radon. These additions to the scope of accreditation gives Aerotech Laboratories over 50 accredited tests, a copy of which is available through the Aerotech or A2LA Web sites.

"This is an outstanding accomplishment that further demonstrates our commitment to unparalleled data quality," stated David Fetveit, general manager.

Aerotech Laboratories was initially awarded A2LA accreditation in 2003 and, according to the company, was the first laboratory in the IAQ industry to receive such an accreditation.
