LAS VEGAS - Carrier Corporation held its first-ever National Dealer Convention here from Jan. 21-23, with 4,000 dealers participating, as the company launched a marketing program emphasizing the important role of its dealers and introduced its new-generation Infinity System residential HVAC system.

Stressing the expertise of the dealer, the new "Turn to the Experts" campaign is designed to educate homeowners about Carrier products while building loyalty to its dealers. The company says it is its largest advertising campaign ever.

The new Infinity System features the Infinity Control, a programmable thermostat designed to be easy to use that manages all six comfort functions: temperature, humidity, airflow, ventilation, indoor air quality, and zoning, says the company.

Start-up is simplified because once activated, the control automatically configures itself to the HVAC system, Carrier says, and it is capable of detecting problems and automatically alerting the homeowner and/or dealer when attention is needed.
