ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has released a new ComforToolsâ„¢ flyer designed to educate consumers about the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO) and how to prevent CO poisoning.

"Carbon Monoxide: Keep Your Family Safe from Carbon Monoxide Poisoning" is the latest in a series of brochures and collateral materials called ComforTools that are designed for ACCA members to offer their customers.

Contractors can customize the educational flyers with their contact information right in Adobe Acrobat Reader, without any additional software.

"CO is of particular concern in the winter months, when windows and doors are closed and families often turn to space heaters and fireplaces to augment their heating systems," said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA's president and CEO. "This flyer is an easy and customizable way to reach out to your customer base and teach them the causes and symptoms of CO illness and how to prevent it in the first place."

ACCA members can download the flyer in PDF format and add their contact information at www.acca.org/biz/comfortools/. Contractors will need their ACCA member number and password to access the brochure. Access to ComforTools brochures is included in ACCA membership.

Other ComforTools brochures offer consumers advice on moisture management, air filtration, mold, professional system design, and preventive maintenance programs.
